A adventure in the darkness

This project was created for a game jam with the theme of Unseen and it focuses on audio-based horror gameplay. The game world is shrouded in darkness. The player is blind and must rely on echolocation pings to navigate. Meanwhile, enemies suffer from their own sensory limitations: some are blind, while others are deaf.
The entire game takes place across five distinct floors of a derelict facility. Each floor introduces new mechanics and threats, building tension as the player explores the interplay between sound, silence, and survival.
Four music tracks were composed to enhance the experience.
The approach emphasizes ambient horror, built on diminished chords, sparse textures, and occasional waterphone accents. There are no melodies. Only fragments, drones, and echoes bleed into the environment. The music and sound design blur together to create a continuous emotional undertone.
Each track represents a psychological descent through sensory disorientation, transitioning from sterile silence to chaotic fear.
